After almost a decade in private practice as a litigation and business attorney representing clients throughout Oregon, Washington, and Nevada, I joined LPMC in 2015 to serve as its General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. In my current capacity as the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer, I advise LPMC with respect to all of its business operations as well as ensuring LPMC’s mortgage loans remain compliant with both State and Federal regulations. While originating loans is only one aspect of my role at LPMC, my legal background provides an enhanced understating of the real estate purchase and mortgage process. I enjoy helping borrowers navigate the increasingly complex and challenging path to financing.
Born and raised north of Boston, MA, I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2006 after graduating from the Boston University School of Law. With Las Vegas being one of the hardest hit areas of the Great Recession, I observed firsthand the harmful effects irresponsible residential lending and insufficient mortgage regulation can have in individuals, businesses, and the community at large. While I truly enjoyed the practice of law in Nevada, my wife and I relocated to Oregon in late 2012 to settle and raise our family – a decision we’ve never regretted. When not working, you can likely find my wife and I, along with our two young boys, camping throughout the PNW.
